Didn't have anything I ordered. So I had to substitute my meal and they didn't even have iced tea. I ended up getting the BBQ sampler plate. Ribs were precooked packaged heat and serve ribs like lloyds from the grocery store, chicken Breast was frozen precooked with fake grill marks and it was rubbery with some BBQ sauce slapped on. and steak tasted like precooked out of the bag steak slices. I have a feeling everything was just defrosted in a microwave and thrown on a plate. Would not recommend
We have never gotten sick from the food, but the unsavory variables have inspired us to dine elsewhere.
We walked out after being ignored. Bartender and waitress seemed to be more interested in talking to each other than waiting on us. Never got asked if we wanted drinks or told what the specials were.
Stopped in for steamers and calamari one week day on a motorcycle ride. Enjoyed the atmosphere, food and cold beverages. I will stop again.
Recommended by the Margaretville Motel desk clerk, it was exactly as described. Prices on the menu seemed a little high, but it was Taco Tuesday and the tacos were a pretty good deal. Seating inside seemed a little cramped and we had been warned that the service might be slow and/or surly. It was neither. Being on motorcycles, we regretted that we could not sample the several Keegan's ales on tap.
On several occasions, we've been served food that hasn't been fresh. Once we received a tuna tartar with blatantly rotting avocado. The waitress was apologetic but the management made no apology.
We liked the restaurant enough to buy digital coupons, but management ended up refusing them twice.
On one occassion, regulars made racist comments and anti-immigration comments to a Hispanic colleague of mine. Minorities beware.
It was an enjoyed haunt for a time, and has a good atmosphere. The wait staff has always been kind.
